Counselling Services online

Hello, My name is Leasha Esslemont, I have over 16 years counselling experience working within Aberdeen charities, NHS providers and in my own private practice. I specialise in trauma recovery, childhood abuse & neglect although I am open to work with any issue.

Person-centred Approach

Life often takes us out of balance and harmony, sometimes we struggle to find that peaceful place that is within us all. It can be helpful to have someone by your side to provide the right support so you can explore issues safely and in your own way. As a person centred counsellor, I believe we can all find our way forward and grow through even the most challenging experiences.

I offer short and long term talking therapy which can help with many difficult life problems – from coping with traumatic experience and events, to dealing with depression and anxiety or managing harmful emotions and behaviours.

I hope to provide clients with a holistic approach to their challenges, acknowledging and working with the mind- body connection & disconnection. I am a qualified and experienced Yoga teacher and this can be helpful in my therapeutic work. For more details visit http://www.virtual-yoga.co.uk

BOUNDARIES WHAT TO EXPECT

I will clarify and discuss with you the professional nature of the counsellor/client relationship and explain the limitations of the service I provide.

ASSESSMENT

Together we will complete an assessment involving me asking questions such as; Why are you seeking counselling? What is your current situation & personal history? What symptoms are you experiencing? This enables us both to explore whether counselling is right for you and whether you would like to meet with me again as it is very important you find the right counsellor for you.
